The Journey

This must have been the first trip when I actually experienced seasickness. The ship was rocking so hard, almost as hard as 2 years ago when I was on the ship during the tsunami. The waves were darn rough, and there was one time when the ship was tilted and everybody on board walked around like drunkards. On the tenderboat to Phuket, the boat was bouncing so vigorously, I thought a tsunami was going to strike again, and I actually searched the sea for foams. -_-''' The weather was peculiar. On wednesday, we were eating at the second topmost deck when the rainwater just gushed down from thedeck above. No thunder, no lightning. Just sudden rain, a rain so heavy that I can't even see the sea around. Then all of a sudden, the rain just stopped totally and the sky was glowing orange. Like huh? The rest of the journey was without rain, just scorching in Phuket. I have the heat rash to prove it.

The Food

I missed the cheesy and chocolatey food there, even though I am convinced I gained 5 kg, with 2-3 servings of food every single meal. I can't believe I even ate tea and supper and those meals in between. It seems like my mouth didn't stop moving for the 4 days on the cruise. There was this uncontrollable urge to keep gorging myself even when my stomach was as round as a watermelon and I felt like puking. BUT everything was scrumptious! Bascially, the main highlight of the cruise is the food I guess.

Movies

I caught Ice Age 2, Click and She's the Man. And Superman Returns and Midsummer Dreams halfway - fell asleep. Ice Age is just a replica of Happy Feet, only with different animals. Click is hilarious, about this man freezing special moments and fastforwarding time as and when he liked. Then everything went wrong and he missed his son's wedding, his divorce and he died from cancer. The anti-climax was when he woke up and realised all this is just a terrible dream. Like duh. How lame can the ending get? She's the Man is one of my all-time favourites! Chic flicks! The storyline is well, like how chic flicks go.

Performance

On the first night, there was a performance with kungfu as the theme. It was boring. I mean, kungfu is fascinating and requires a lot of skills and all, but the novelty wears out after the first few times. Furthermore, the stunts have been the same for the past few years. The second night saw a magic show by the abracadabra man. He's a funny man. Involves quite a lot of audience participation. The last night showcased my favourite performance - Tropicalia! It was a dance performance by South American dancers, Brazilians actually. And they were HOT. Gosh, I want to learn to dance like them. Tropicalia is intertwined with a few acts by the chinese acrobats, the same acts as last year. But still, I love Tropicalia!

Arcade

Haha. Bascially the same few games. I went to try the shooting game! My aiming seriously sucks la.

Phuket

We went shopping! There's was this cashew nuts factory where I koped everything from sour plums to chocolate-coated cashew nuts to coconut chips! Delicious! My aunts spent half of the bahts they had there. Then there was this jewellery store. Everything was overpriced. The lunch at the Thai restaurant was nice!! And shopping at Central Festival. Didn't buy much `cause everything was even more expensive than the things in Singapore.

This trip is definitely the most fun-filled of all. I wish I will turn 18 soon man. Then cruise trips will be even more fun! With casino, disco, pubbing, mystery trails and loads more!

:D
