Imagine a backdrop of highrises and the influence of Western culture in this particular country, people are fighting with one another in a rather uncivilised way for food in the midst of a famine. Sounds so ironic. There's something seriously wrong with the picture. Famine shouldn't be occurring in the 21st century ; the new millenium. I am in distraught.
Back to a more individual level, my Grandpa's house has just been sold. The new owner is giving us 2 months to leave. ): I don't want to move. I have been so familiar and used to this small little kampong area in central Hougang (also part of the Workers' Party control). All the sights and the people. My primary school. All my childhood memories will be gone. No more Hougang Mall. No more Heartland Mall. No more Hougang Sports Complex. No more bus 165 and 132. )': Shifting to central Serangoon with absolutely nothing nearby. No shopping centres. No libraries. ): I am dreading it. I don't want to move on.
