These few days was spent exploring the realms of music and indulging in the beautiful sounds that could be easily classified as Carnegie Hall made. Theo and Bernard awed the class with their expert knowledge in music and their deep passion during a GP presentation that took 4 periods. Surprising eh, considering the fact that GP presentations are usually done sloppishly and they aren't exactly considered enthusiasts in doing work. I must say I really learn a lot more about music, and be wonderfully further inspired by them. Basically they introduced us to music from symphony orchestras from the different eras (Baroque, Romantic etc)and played all those music in class and even those who know nothing about music were inspired by the end of the day. The only bad point was their insistence that orchestral music is way more beautiful than band music. I agree with that but band music have their own unique characteristics okay. Then they keep
suaning VJCSB, said the national anthem sounds like a beginner's band every week and commenting that our New York gold was tyco. What about sour grapes man. That aside, confirming the repertoire for Majestia is nice too. It's little wonder how I got addicted to
Orpheus in the Underworld so fast. Listening to this song online is like woah, tutorials totally forgotten. And it doesn't help that the tune keeps running in my head. I am currently trying to influence people like Huiting to like music too. ((:
The darker side of the week includes the trainings, duh. With more and more people getting injuries(like me) due to the attempts to kick high and continuous trainings without breaks, I really don't see the point in getting golds for the competition anymore. It just makes me lose interest in taekwondo. Think positively man! One more month and it will be all over.
