I got my first double for grading. (: It was under the most unexpected circumstances though - reverse kick screwed, lost balance during the pattern, sparring without backthrust. It's a wonder how all 8 of us managed a double. Besides saving $25, it is also a recognition of our hard work these few months, even though the objective was the championship.
Events of the past few days include band investiture, outing with taekwondo lovelies and Yizhen's family bbq. Starting with investiture, I really appreciate the juniors' effort in making all those nice things - the big big board plastered with photos made by Alyssa, the scrapbook, the notes, the video, the recordings from Majestia XXIII, Yanzhu's photo etc. Compared to our seniors, we are much much more fortunate. I'm surprised I wasn't very much affected by the emo-ness around me. Jack's Place at the end of the week! (: A full meal at a nice restaurant at only $7.50. I think I'm really gonna miss these people now that training has officially stopped. Yizhen's family bbq was just stuffing and pigging and gorging. (:
Im still grossed out by the silver oxide on my fingers. Detergent, citric acid and vinegar only got off a few pixels of the black stuff. I think I will need buckets of lemon juice. :/
Friends I can't live without ;
