(((: I got my contacts in! Even the ultra big one with astigmatism. Basking in this sense of accomplishment through this newfound watery visionary world.
Class outing yesterday was great. My first experience at karaoke-ing `coz I never believed in paying to sing when you can sing everywhere. We hogged the KTV lounge at Mao's condo and everybody got damn high; standing on the sofa and rocking to the beat, singing (more like screaming) every song that came on even when we didnt hear the song before. It was hilarious how everybody went off pitch during most songs and just half recite, half sing through songs we dont know. Now to think of it, the martini probably played a part. It is scenes like these that you get a peep into the other side of people you thought you know very well. (: Seeing those usually sensible and mature people like Cher Han and Janine going crazy and screaming into the mike is really a eye-opener. I supposed I surprised quite a few people too, with the fact that I wasnt actually as noob as I had thought or that I actually had this wild partying side in me. Too bad my camera battery died out and I couldnt capture these Kodak moments. But you can always rely on Janine to bring a fully charged camera everywhere.
On a more heartwarming note, Rachel was near tears by her belated birthday present. Well, I must admit we really spent a lot of effort into it but her reaction was a bit unexpected. At least I know shes gonna treasure the organiser for many many years to come. (:
